A digital tool for the Stena Line Bordershop that helps customers plan their future purchases. And how to transport them home.

Background

Bordershops are perfect opportunities for those who want to find deals or make large purchases for parties or celebrations. And the smoothest border shopping experience of them all is of course the one you find on-board – right there on the ship, instead of in some desolate port area. So we needed to bring awareness to this new type of border shop. 

Solution

We developed “Packningskollen” (“the packing check”) – a digital tool where the customer could enter their car license plate number and then select which of the campaign products they were interested in purchasing. The tool would automatically look up your car model and its available boot space, and then show how many of those products you could fit in your car – and of course import legally. The entire campaign was focused on the customers’ transport and cargo capacity, and instead of talking about product name and price, we communicated completely about weight, volume and other units of measuring.
