About Tannin

Tannin helps brands in the wine and spirits industries to communicate, create curiosity and in the end; do better business. We are a part of the advertising agency Uncle Unicorn, and have expert knowledge of wines, spirits and other alcoholic beverages, thorough experience with industry specific regulations as well as a deep understanding of both the marketing and sales of alcohol products.

When do you know a subject?

Even if wine and spirits are immensely deep and vast subjects, every member of the team has been certified by WSET, and our creative leader is one of a select few that hold a diploma from the WSET flagship certification “Diploma Level 4 in Wine”. That expertise is combined with extensive and industry-recognized experience from both the advertising industry and the client side in terms of marketing and communicating about alcoholic beverages both in Sweden and internationally. 

At the Swedish vineyard Skepparps in Österlen, you will find for example the regionally popular grape Solaris. One of the resulting wines is the magnificent sparkling wine “Grand Prix Solaris Mousserande”

Our view on advertising

We help build brands. And we do so by creating brand strategies, campaign concepts, commercials, ads, content, sales material and design. Digital or analog, still or moving. We also hold presentations, tastings and educational sessions about alcoholic beverages, and perhaps even more importantly – about how to create interest in them. 

We’re convinced that the best way to create interest and need for a product is to tell stories. In our world, that’s called storytelling – and that’s what’s at the core of our business. Not just because it’s efficient, but because the world of wine and spirits is full of stories!

We have created, refined and told stories for both small and large clients, domestically and internationally. Among these clients you’ll find brands like Altia, O.P. Anderson, Göteborgs Vinkällare, Drinks 20, Qatar Airways, Carlsberg and the Stena Line Bordershop.  

Is it possible to have too many bottles of a wine you like? If you ask us: Most definitely not. It’s quite magical to pick a bottle every now and then and experience the development process of the wine as it matures. To actually become part of its history.

The team

Every member of the team has successful careers covering both the advertising industry and the client side. We’ve won multiple Golden Egg awards, Cannes Lions, and 100 Watt awards. The entire team is also certified by Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) and our creative leader holds their highest flagship certification.
